Photograph of a Female Eastern Towhee. Eastern Towhee's spend most of the time on the ground, scratching at leaves using both feet at the same time. They spend lots of time concealed beneath thick underbrush. If your feeders are near a vegetated edge they will cautiously come out to feed.
